SASS Week 2019

This week we take the opportunity to thank and acknowledge our School Administration Staff for all their work in supporting the staff and students and parents of Manly Vale Public School. To our office staff Pam, Luise, Annabel, Ann and Kriszta we wish to say thank you for the hours you put in to making our school run efficiently. For attending to students who are sick, booking buses, collecting notes and accounting for the financial wellbeing of the school, to coordinating the newsletter and answering the many enquiries…we thank you.

To our Student Learning and Support Officers Pete, Mary, Jayne, Stephanie and Justine thank you for the care and attention you give each and every student and the support you give to our teaching staff.

To Barry our GA and Jun and Greg our IT support team, thank you for the work you do in keeping our grounds clean and safe and our technology serviced and operational. We have the most tremendous SASS team at Manly Vale and thank them all for the work they do in the school.

Spell-A-Thon

After our father’s day breakfast and assembly on Friday students will go into classrooms for the Spell-A-Thon. The students will need to bring in their sponsorship cards this Friday so that anticipated donations can be recorded along with the spelling words correct, so that sponsorship money can be collected over the next 2 weeks.

All donations can be brought in to the class teacher to be recorded. Year 6 parent volunteers will be counting the money over the next 2 weeks to decide on the largest fundraisers for each stage. Prizes for stage winners will be given out on a Friday morning assembly on 13 September. Thank you to all parents, grandparent and friends who have sponsored our students.

Sponsorship money can also be banked via our P & C website below. Please be sure to clearly put your child’s name and class when using the online banking. Cash can be brought into school in a clearly marked envelope stating the child’s name, class and amount collected.

The choir will be performing outside the hall at 8.30am to conclude the morning. All parents are then invited to attend the Friday morning assembly where the school athletics carnival certificates will be given out. We look forward to hosting all our dads this Friday.
